The House That Jack Built
Kendall Wisconsin
This page started with the above picture from about 1946 when then Grandma Mae Collins sold the family farm
after the war ended and there were no children left to run the farm.
She then moved to Racine WI. Then we we found this 1906 map of Jack and Mary Collins house
Then the search began to find the house with this map.

We found it in the early morning fog

The house from the road today, the door on the right is the only front door, the window on the left was a door in 1905 for the hired help.

Another angle of the house from the right side from the road

Originally there was a second front door at the base of the stairs for the hired help to sleep upstairs where there is now a window.

This lightened picture shows the original woodwork on the side of the stairs.

Parlor area on the right side of the house

This is an addition on the left side of the house. It has the original stained glass window pictured in the 1946 peak of the front of the house installed high on the back of the addition.
