The House That Jack Built Early Family Notes

These items relate to two of Dad's uncles, Ed and Michael. 1) Check Fr. Cormac's note regarding the wake of uncle Ed's wife,Josie
2)We didn't hear too much about uncle Mike as kids. Probably because he died when Dad was in high school. But,from the length of this obituary and the glowing words, I think he must have been quite an interesting fellow. Interesting fact- these two Collins brothers married two Jirschele sisters. Neither couple had children.
This story is about JJ Collins, our great grandfather. He was born in Boston in 1855 and lived until the spring of 1946. Although I am sure that you do not remember, Chuck, you did get to meet him. Anyway, I think it is pretty special that the neighborhood called him "grandpa" too.
I am only attaching page #1 of I REMBER because there are five pages of a tribute to Cormac's brother, John. However on the first page is a reference to our uncle, "Little Johnny Collins". Although we couldn'thave known dads brother as a child, the description of Uncle John is right on. As an adult he didn't always seem fully awake and he sure did take plenty of time to express his thoughts!
